ReplyDeleteIt's been a great semester and I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did. Even though I've never personally met any of you I think I've gotten to know some of you pretty well. You've responded and discussed the course material with me on our blog posts but we've taken it a step beyond that and most of you have really opened up about personal experiences and revelation throughout the semester. I wish all of you the best on the remainder of your academic journeys!

ReplyDeleteI think we can all agree this course was unconventional. The material was interesting because of video sources for the periods we studied instead of using a boring textbook. At first, the strict guidelines to follow were intimidating, and the workload was arduous at times. (I’m sure I am not the only one who missed a couple of weekend BBQs these past few weeks). What matters is the end result. What will we be able to take away from this experience? I’m sure it’s different for all of us. The personal applications of enduring issues in history was surprising and refreshing from you all in our blog. Thank you everyone for a great experience!

Agree. This course was unconventional but it taught us that we must learn to think on our own, a great value in the workforce. Although some may have not liked this style of learning, I think it is a great building block for the future.

ReplyDeleteIt was a very interesting semester. Over the course of short 5 weeks we learned a lot. This course was very different from any classes I took in the past, but I think, that it was a good experience. I'm glad I had an opportunity to learn about the past and reflect on how it affects all of us.
Also, blog experience was very unusual to me, but I really enjoyed it. I feel like I got to know my classmates through their responses and opinions.

ReplyDeleteI have not been the type to talk much or raise my hand in regular classes, so this experience has been somewhat life altering for me. I have shared more thoughts with you all, and in turn I’ve taken in more of your ideas in this setting than I ever have in any other classroom experience. I thank you for being here with me, though not in body, but certainly in mind and spirit. This has been a fascinating experiment.

ReplyDeleteAlthough this course may have seemed intimidating at the start, I think we can all agree that it became simple as time went by. I also found myself doing some homework while on vacation but it was worth it. It was quite interesting to learn this topic with all of you. Perhaps some of you are graduating soon and I know life after college can be difficult for some but I hope this course taught you, as it did to me, that hard work pays off and we must all strive for the best. And with that in mind I hope everyone has a great rest of the summer.

I don't know about you guys but this class was different from any class I've ever taken. It took me a bit to get used to it but I eventually found my groove. I'd say I'd see you guys on campus but I don't know what any of you look like. So farwell and good luck in your future endeavors!
